From 21st Century Leaders, a non-profit whose aim is to expand the number and diversity of Georgia’s future leaders:
From metro Atlanta to Houston County, students across the state were recognized as entrepreneurs, philanthropists and community advocates.
Each year, 21st Century Leaders and members of Atlanta Business Chronicle’s “40 Under 40” select 20 Georgia students for their outstanding service and impact to their school and/or community. These exemplary students were chosen for initiating endeavors such as; initiating businesses and clubs, demonstrating superior leadership skills, and for being outstanding role models for other youth.
“The level of talent and accomplishment astounds us every year,” said Bob Watson, executive director of 21st Century Leaders. “Each member of this year’s class is a stellar example of a strong youth leader.”
Members of Atlanta Business Chronicle’s “40 Under 40” presented this year’s class with their awards held at the Crowne Plaza Atlanta Perimeter Ravinia on February 27, 2014. The evening was emceed by distinguished guest and 21st Century Leaders Board of Directors member, Lars Minns, senior manager for talent management of The Home Depot.
