Georgia is Republican, My People are All Democrats

Republicans have more power in Georgia; they can help you, Democrats cannot

I want everyone reading this to put on their logical hat. Take off the emotional knit hat with the funky embroidering. Take a few seconds, grab your earlobes and say "woosaw, woosaw." Now that you have your logical mind fully in place, follow me.

The state of Georgia is run by the Republicans. The new maps have ensured that they have a super majority for years to come. This means that if the Democrats want to "represent" you and your interests—they cannot.

Sure, they can go on television and complain. They can stand in the well of the House and call everyone who voted on a particular bill racist. But really they cannot "represent" you at all with any effectiveness.

So here's the question: What are you, the voter, going to do?

You can move from this backward, "racist" state and go to more friendly areas—North Carolina, New York, Detroit, (don't laugh, Detroit is the perfect place to reclaim as an African-American City and put into practice the teachings of Marcus Garvey and Elijah Muhammad... but I digress).

And, logically speaking, if you really believe that Republicans are racist, evil people then why would you stay here?

Or you can stay here and start voting for moderate Democrats and Republicans. It is as simple as that. YOU must change your thinking to adapt to the current situation.

The only people who are at all empowered are your leaders who benefit from your allegiance—politicians, civil rights activists, and Ministers. But you, you are left holding the bag for another generation.

At what point do we realize that to be independent means to be free? I implore any young African-American lawyer or professional to run for office as a Republican. It is easier to change a group from within than from the super minority side with no power whatsoever.

I talked to several high-ranking Republicans and they have all said they would welcome more young African-Americans like Ashley Bell who is up in Hall County. Look ladies and gentlemen, if a politician can play "bipartisanship" to get things done why the hell can't you? Is not your interests paramount?

How do you look yourself in the face on Election Day and pull the lever for someone you know cannot do anything for you? Symbolism? Fight the Power? Really?

So put back on your emotional knit hat and start to seriously question your leadership and ask them "so how are you going to get my needs met?"

They will stammer out some lame answer and then you should leave and make a call to your Republican Senate or House elected official and ask them "Do you need any phone banking done?" and " I do not have much but I can give you $100 bucks."

Seriously, why can't we do what the pols do to get what we want—School Choice, Jobs, Lower taxes, and no crime?

Seems logical to me.
