Why I Vote for the Best Candidate

Independent voting results in the best representation

Many people call me a Republican.

Actually, I am a independent, conservative voter. My philosophy, before I go into the booth, is to look at all the candidates and vote for the best person for the job.

I do not care for political party, I care about my individual interests and the interests of my community where I reside.

As I have stated many times, the only people who benefit from party line voting are the insiders who benefit when one party is in charge. If you want to really shake things up, tell your local elected official that you are not sure which candidate you are supporting. Tell them that you have voted Dem or Repub all your life and that you want to know more.

Do you know what will happen? That campaign will send the candidate over to your house and ask you what happened. And you tell him or her at that point what your needs are-—schools, roads, police etc. And quick as that it will appear.

Case in point: My beloved Harlem where I was born and raised was a crime-ridden, cesspool for 35 years. In the last seven years it has become a heaven where women of all races walk the streets at midnight with toy dogs and have no fear of crime.

Why? Because people started to move in who told elected officials, "We do not care about your history, just keep my property values up."

You see ladies and gentleman the way to get good representation is to play hard to get.

Last night a very good friend and beautiful sister told me "Step up to the plate if you really like me". Well, that's akin to saying "I don't know who I am voting for, what are you showing me?"

Is it not what you tell your daughters—"Wait and see his actions not his words?"

Well the same holds true with voting. Vote the candidate, not the party. Or at least let the party think you can go to the other side.

Or, to put it in plainer words: Don't be the trick, be the pimp.
