One question and one question only: How come every opposition party has done the same things to sitting white presidents that it is doing to Barack Obama yet it was never racism?
Answer: Because they were not black. So ipso facto, if president is black then all opposition to him must be race-based. Wrong, wrong, wrong.
A history lesson:

1994: Republicans shut down government with white president in office
1987: White president tries to free hostages and winning president sabotages mission (allegedly)

1995: White president lies about getting orally fixed and is impeached
Now if all of this happened under a black president, then the cries of racism would be heard across the land. I could hear Chris Matthews now "The fear of the black sex God is why Republicans want to impeach this President."
Now, do not get me wrong, I believe there is racism at work by voters but the other party is simply playing partisan politics using every tool in the tool box.
"The other"—Bush called Kerry an "elitist," not a regular guy.
"Radical"—Kerry was swift boated
"Class Warfare"—Clinton used Bush's ties to WASP Connecticut as him being outside mainstream
The list extends all the way back to when Thomas Jefferson called John Adams a "Damned transvestite, and crossdresser, too ugly for a woman and too weak for a man."
This is how the game is played. Look, we have achieved the presidency so we need to accept the game as it is played and stop wanting to be treated differently due to skin color.
Because if during this election, everything comes down to race, then independents will flee Obama in droves. And that, my friends, in support of re-election would make Obama a termer. And it really would have been due to race.
