West End Participants in the Decatur Book Festival, Saturday and Sunday
The Decatur Book Festival is being held this weekend.
The Wren's Nest will be at Decatur Book Festival this weekend.
"We're in Booth 111 in front of the Courthouse. We're selling books and our storytellers will be there telling stories throughout both days," says the Wren's Nest.
On Saturday beginning at 11:30, is the launch party for this year's book written entirely by middle school students at KIPP Strive.
It will be held inside CORE Dance studio, 139 Sycamore Street. The kids will receive their books and read excerpts and sign autographs.
On Sunday, also at CORE, is the launch of this year's high school literary journal. That event begins at 1 p.m. The students will be reading from their work off and on for an hour or so.
