Happy 90th Birthday Rev. Lowery!

Thursday is Rev. Dr. Joseph E. Lowery's 90th birthday. He will celebrate the occasion Sunday at Atlanta Symphony Hall. Proceeds benefit Joseph E. Lowery Institute for Justice and Human Rights at Clark Atlanta University.

Thursday, Oct. 6, is the actual 90th birthday of civil rights icon and legendary Cascade United Methodist Church pastor Rev. Dr. Joseph P. Lowery.

The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and special guests will celebrate the work of the former SCLC leader and Dean of the Civil Rights Movement at 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9, with "His Words—Our Gift," a musical and theatrical experience.

Proceeds benefit Joseph E. Lowery Institute for Justice and Human Rights at Clark Atlanta University.
