It is about that time of year again, when families gather in the West End to celebrate their African diaspora culture and heritage. The 8th Annual West End African Unity & Cultural Festival will take place on September 14th at 944 Ralph Abernathy from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The festival is slated to feature entertainment, vendors, a Farmers market, a health fair, and more. Volunteers and vendors are still needed, and if interested you should call 404-444-6696.
This year there will also be an African Gala held the night before on September 13th. The gala will be held at The Shrine of the Black Madonna from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. and will feature music, dance, video, and even door prizes!
