Using MARTA on Sunday? Plan Ahead, the Atlanta Marathon Causes Route Changes

If you have any plans to go through the Buckhead and Midtown corridors this weekend, please plan accordingly because the Atlanta Marathon will be causing plenty of MARTA bus changes.

Street closures for the Atlanta Marathon will impact MARTA bus service from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 27th, with some lines being rerouted or experiencing significant delays. Customers are advised to allow extra time for their trips.

Buses that will be rerouted include Routes 1, 2, 3, 6, 13, 16, 21, 27, 30, 32, 36, 42, 49, 55, 74 and 155. Rerouting for each route will end after the marathon runners pass through the affected area.
