Benny Crane is ready for the position of Georgia State House Representative District #62 right now. Benny started working and preparing for this position 30 years ago; however, he has been working vigilantly for the past five years to present. Benny Crane has recently announced in a press release his opposition to the "TSPLOST" as it currently stands; furthermore, Benny offers a suggestion and evidence to incentivize people to want to buy in to this referendum. Benny Crane points out:
"The first thing that Governor Deal can do is to call on his legislative leaders in the House and Senate to pass State Representative Roger Bruce's bill HB 1241 introduced last session to create the Georgia Division of Minority and Women Business Development in the Governor’s office of Economic Development."

"This segment of our community has been providing taxes to the state of Georgia and has not gotten a return on that investment in the form of jobs or contracts," Crane said, "Not one mile of road has ever been completed by a black contractor in this state's history!" Crane said, "I could support the TSPLOST PENNY sales tax if these actions had been taken before the vote on July 31st."
The information that drives Benny Crane to make this claim comes from a GDOT disparity study recently done. The study shows that minority owned transportation contractors receive 1.1% of Georgia's contracts. It must be stated this is not a color issue. It is a fairness and sustainability issue. Benny Crane wants to see Georgians prosper collectively.
Benny Crane additionally wrote a letter to Governor Deal on behalf of Georgians, urging State government to move forward with affordable healthcare. Benny Crane spells out:
"I would also suggest that you announce your support for the State to set up a Medical Exchange and support the Medicaid Expansion for the State of Georgia. As you are aware the Affordable Care Act was upheld by the United States Supreme Court recently and it gives Georgia and your Office the opportunity to move Georgia forward."
Benny Crane has not been waiting for neither July 31 nor January 14, Benny Crane is working for District #62 now. This works for Georgians as well.
