Cascade United Methodist Church

<p>Cascade is one of the largest and most prominent churches in southwest Atlanta. Established in 1926 in a storefront near Cascade and Beecher, the church grew rapidly under the leadership of influential pastors such as Rev. Walter Kimbrough and legendary civil right leader Rev. Joseph Lowery.</p> <p>Cascade describes itself as a "Christ-centered church" that seeks to embrace the community and nurture "all generations, with a special emphasis on children and youth."</p> <p>Cascade has more than 48 ministries organized into four main divisions: Worship, Nurture, The Witness and Outreach. The congregation moved into its current 10-acre location at Cascade Road and Childress Drive in 1994. </p>
