Harper-Archer Middle School
404-802-6500
Harper-Archer is part of the historic Collier Heights community in northwest Atlanta. Collier Heights was the first community in the United States built by African-Americans for the burgeoning African-American community in Atlanta.
Harper Archer's current mission is to reclaim its excellence. Educational consultants and specialists are working alongside teachers, implementing best practices and research-based methods in order to improve student comprehension and performance.
Harper-Archer's Web site says it is a designated No Place To Hate school where anti-bias and diversity education -- in order to eradicate bigotry and prejudice -- are part of the curriculum.
Harper-Archer students have excelled at sports. In 2009, the football team was the middle school champion. In 2010, the girls basketball team was the middle shool champion.
