Walmart Continues its Opening Celebrations and Brings Falcons Player Brent Grimes to Sign Autographs

On Saturday, Falcons player Brent Grimes will be in store to sign autographs.

  To celebrate the grand opening of the new Walmart Supercenter in Atlanta’s Historic Westside Village, the new store will host a family-friendly event on Saturday, January 26th. The store opened Wednesday, Jan. 23 with great turnout by the community and local leaders, and will continue the celebration through the weekend.  The event will include a celebrity appearance by veteran NFL corner-back Brent Grimes with an autograph session and pictures with fans. New Walmart Supercenter on Martin Luther King Delays Hiring 150 Employees until October

Representatives from Walmart said that the hiring process is getting started on the 17th of September, but in actuality it will not begin until October 15th.

UPDATE (9/15 at 12pm): I just returned from the hiring center which was supposed to be opening today.  It is not open.  A sign on the door says due to "Technical Delays" it will not open until October 15th.  Sorry I could not inform our readers sooner, but we were not informed either.  In the 5 minutes I stood in-front of the closed hiring center, nearly 10 other prospective employees showed up trying to enter the hiring center as well. The Historic Westside Village Walmart Supercenter at Vine City will begin hiring for full and part time jobs and career opportunities beginning September 17th at the old MetroPCS store in the Walmart parking lot.
