Southwest Atlanta Actress Co-Stars in 'Stripped' Play with Lisa Wu Hartwell

Triple-threat Mays High School graduate Arle Michel's star is on the rise. Play opens Wednesday at Georgia Tech's Ferst Center.

When singer/actress Arle Michel was growing up in southwest Atlanta she knew at an early age that she wanted to be an entertainer. “My mother will tell you that my brother and I have always been entertaining people,” Michel said during an interview at the Barnes & Noble at Camp Creek Marketplace. “It's in my blood.” She admits, however, that like most people trying to maintain and build a show business career, it has been discouraging at times. “There have been moments when I have quit every other week, but I keep coming back to it," she said.
