by Betty Marshall Small business has long been recognized as one of the leading drivers of economic growth and job creation in the U.S. In fact, the Small Business Administration reports that small businesses accounted for 65 percent of the 15 million new jobs created between 1993 and 2009, and pay some 44 percent of total U.S. private payroll. Confirming that trend, last month the U.S. Department of Labor reported that small companies – those with fewer than 50 employees – hired 3 million workers in the second quarter of 2012, more than half of all hires. THATS THE MILLION DOLLAR QUESTION SADIE !!! There will be a few but historically when we shop at businesses in general we put no thought into who we empower.....and then as was stated earlier or in another forum certain income populations shop where they can because of economics and with that in mind Family Dollar may be on to something that is very diffucult to stop.   more ›
