The incident occurred late Thursday night.
Atlanta police are investigating the shooting of a man who was apparently defending his female companion on Thursday night at the Chevron station on Joseph Lowery Boulevard. CBS Atlanta is reporting that witnesses told police a man was making lewd comments to the woman, and the victim came to her defense. The suspect then retrieved a gun from his car and began shooting inside the store, and then at the victim. APD spokesman Carlos Campos told Patch Friday morning that the victim was shot twice, and transported to Grady Memorial Hospital in stable condition. Stay with Patch as more details become available.
