Today is the last day Georgians can register to vote in the July 31 primary election. The partisan primaries include the race for U.S. Congress between Congressman John Lewis and retired judge Michael Johnson, both Democrats. The winner will face Republican Howard Stopeck in the November general election. The July ballot also incudes races for the state Legislature, the Public Service Commission and several judgeships. To register by mail, applications must be filled out and postmarked by today. Get a printable form at the Georgia Secretary of State's website.
