Over 150 parents and community stakeholders attended a demographic study community meeting hosted by Atlanta Public Schools at Douglass High School last night to provide input and feedback on possible solutions to current changes in student enrollment. Independent demographers presented multiple scenarios for consideration including the possible closing or mergers of Adamsville, Beecher Hills, Capitol View, Fain, Kimberly, F.L. Stanton and Miles Elementary Schools. Fifteen maps lined the stage outlining four possible scenarios for capacity changes in the school district.
