Get a Flu Shot from Fulton County

Six Fulton County health centers offer the vaccine.

For the first time in nearly a decade, Fulton County Health Services is encouraging all residents ages six months and older to get a flu shot. That's because this year's flu season is already ramping up, especially in Georgia. The county is offering flu shots and nasal mists for $25 at six county health centers, including the Adamsville Regional Health Center. Visa, Mastercard, Medicaid, Cigna, United Healthcare and cash are all accepted forms of payment. Along with the general advice to get a flu shot, people in these risk groups are highly encouraged to get one:

Flu Shots Available for $25 at Fulton County Health Centers

The Fulton Department of Health and Wellness is providing flu shots at seven centers from 8:30 am until 4:00 pm.

Flu season is around the corner.  Fulton County Health Services encourages everyone to get vaccinated, especially children.  The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) states that getting vaccinated is the first and most important step in protecting against this serious disease. While there are many different flu viruses, the flu vaccine protects against the three main flu strains that research indicates will cause the most illness during the flu season.  The Fulton Department of Health and Wellness is providing flu shots at seven centers from 8:30 am until 4:00 pm.  Residents can get a flu shot or the nasal mist (2 to 49 years) for $25.  Visa and Master Card (credit and debit), Medicaid, Cigna, United Health care and cash are …

Cascade grocery stores, pharmacies offer discounts on 3-in-1 vaccine to help fight winter bug

With New Year's around the corner, catching the flu bug can put a serious damper on holiday plans. And though the 2010 flu season is much better than the scare of 2009's H1N1, it is a good idea to consider getting the flu vaccination as the 2011 winter months settle in. "I think the flu shot is a must during this time of year, I have been getting mine for the past several years and encourage my family to do so as well," says Walvella Bell-King of Fulton County Health and Wellness.  "The vaccine helps people from getting really sick and the cost factor isn't a legitimate excuse anymore."
