Washington High School Receives a Nationally Recognized, Year-round Baseball Program
L.E.A.D. is introducing its nationally recognized, year-round baseball programming at Washington High School, and is announcing its expansion within the Atlanta Public School system.
(submitted by Melanie Beal, Lead2Legacy.org) Launch, Expose, Advise, Direct Inc. (L.E.A.D.) introduces its nationally recognized, year-round baseball programming into Washington High School (WHS). The year-round programming being implemented at WHS includes the Legacy League in the fall, Middle School Baseball Development League in the spring, Junior Ambassador Program in the summer and the Ambassador Program beginning in the winter and continuing through the summer. WHS is rooted in baseball tradition with graduates such as James “Red” Moore (Atlanta Black Crackers and Atlanta Sports Hall of Fame) and Donn Clendenon (New York Mets and the 1969 World Series MVP), for whom the WHS Moore-Clendenon baseball field is named for. “Our goal at …
