Congressman David Scott will host his 10th Annual Jobs Fair on Friday, April 19, 2013, at the Georgia International Convention Center. Job seekers who attend may obtain information and be considered for more than 1,600 positions with this year’s participating employers. According to the office of David Scott, "companies confirmed to participate include: AFLAC, AT&T, UPS, Lowe’s, Home Depot, CSX, Regions, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Comcast, Waffle House, Georgia Power, Alorica, Gate Gourmet, MACK 2, Regions Bank, Douglasville Police Department, City of Atlanta, and many others." Many jobs are available in and around the Atlanta Airport, come March 13th and apply.
Hartsfield-Jackson Airport along with the Atlanta Workforce Development Agency are holding a special job fair for Atlanta residents on Wednesday, March 13th from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Airport representatives say employers from the airport and surrounding areas will be hiring for positions such as cashiers, cooks, maintenance workers, drivers, sales managers, customer service representatives, security officers, hosts and mechanics. The fair will be held at the Georgia International Convention Center, as it was last year when nearly 1000 people lined up for an opportunity. The Atlanta Workforce Development Agency will host a job fair from 8 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the AWDA office on Pollard Street. According to an e-mail news release from District 9 Atlanta City Councilwoman Felicia Moore, recruiters will interview candidates for the following jobs: Recruiters also will accept resumes for the following four positions: All candidates must have a high school diploma or a GED and be able to pass a drug screening test.
