Rep. Pat Gardner is a democrat pitted against another fellow democrat in a race for the Georgia House Representative seat for District 57. District 57 was redistricted by House Republicans, so that fellow incumbent Democrats would have to challenge each-other for a single seat. Rep. Gardner held her scheduled press luncheon on Tuesday afternoon just hours after her opponent Rep. Rashad Taylor called a press conference to ask Pat Gardner to "denounce", what he called "anti-gay" flyers that were supposedly distributed to certain Southwest Atlanta neighborhoods. Rep. Rep. Rashad Taylor held a press conference to call for Rep. Pat Gardner to denounce the "anti-gay" flyer.
Rep. Rashad Taylor held a press conference at the State Capitol today to show media the flyers that he claims were distributed to Southwest Atlanta neighborhoods over the last week.
