Readers’ Choice Roundup: Frozen Treats

It’s getting hot out there! So we figured this would be a good time to round up some reader suggestions for places to cool down with a frozen yogurt or ice cream.

Yes, it’s a cliché to say we all scream for ice cream. But Patch readers clearly enjoy their frozen treats as the weather heats up, whether it’s ice cream, frozen yogurt or gelato. Here’s a roundup of readers’ favorite place to enjoy frozen goodness: Did we miss any of your favorites? Let us know in the comments area below.

Reader's Choice: No Frozen Treats Winner

Not enough local shops to buy ice cream

Readers, it looks like most of you do not have a favorite place in our area to enjoy frozen treats, or maybe we just do not have enough locations in our area. We had so little participation in this week's Readers' Choice poll about the best place to buy ice cream or yogurt that we aren't going to declare a winner. The good thing is that you as a reader can always suggest a place that you like to patronize in the community, and maybe we will visit them and do a short profile on their business. Please send an email to Cascade Patch editor at marc.richardson@patch.com. Come join the rest of the Cascade Patch fans on Facebook!  It's Patch and Facebook together!

Reader's Choice: Cascade's Best Frozen Treats

This week's Reader's Choice asks you to pick the best place to buy Ice Cream or Frozen Yogurt.

The dog days of summer are quickly approaching, and one of our favorite items to consume on a hot day is a scoop of ice cream or your favorite frozen treat. So this week's Reader's Choice asks Cascade readers to choose best place to purchase a frozen treat. Voting in the poll below is open until 9 a.m. Friday. Ties will be broken by whichever business has the most positive comments in the section below. We will announce the winner at noon Friday. NOTE: Some of the locations listed are in surrounding Cascade areas because while compiling this list of locations for the story, I noticed that there are no ice cream parlors nor frozen yogurt shops in Cascade and very little in the greater SW Atlanta area. Hint, Hint...Entrepreneurs are you …

Blooms of Dunwoody is now open..... just in time for Mother's Day. Suzanne (the owner) previously worked at David's Flowers (my favorite local florist) and as you may or may not know, David's has closed. One partner has retired and David has come to work for Blooms of Dunwoody.
