Human Trafficking: How Can We Save Our Children?

WHO: The Buckhead Cascade City Chapter of the Links, Inc. WHAT: This public forum and luncheon will address human trafficking and educate attendees about this problem in our community. While human trafficking has been identified as the fastest-growing criminal industry in the world, Atlanta has been identified as a major transportation hub for trafficking young women and one of 14 U.S. cities with the highest levels of sex trafficking of children. The forum, moderated by former Mayor of Atlanta and Link member, Shirley Franklin, will address the tragedy of modern day slavery through human trafficking which afflicts more than 20 million people around the world. The Links, Inc. and Cascade United Methodist Held an Organ & Tissue Transplantation/Donation Symposium

The symposium, titled “Share Life: Each One, Reach One,” was designed to increase the number of African Americans participating in donor programs.

The Azalea City Chapter of The Links, Incorporated and Cascade United Methodist Church co-sponsored an Organ & Tissue Transplantation/Donation Symposium in an effort to raise community awareness about the need for blood, bone marrow, organ and tissue donation.  Wellness Ministry of Cascade United Methodist Church recently hosted the event at Cascade United Methodist Church. The symposium, appropriately titled “Share Life: Each One, Reach One,”  was designed to increase the number of African Americans participating in donor programs by presenting information about organ/tissue donation and transplantation, including bone marrow and blood, in a theologically and scientifically sound environment.   The symposium engaged the Cascade community …
