Tri-Cities High School receives 3 Shuler Award nominations for their production of Chicago.
The drama students at Tri-Cities High School continue to impress theater lovers throughout the state of Georgia, as they have just received 3 nominations for a 2013 Shuler Award. "Fashioned after Broadway's Tony Awards, the Shuler Hensely Awards are part of the National High School Musical Theater Awards, designed to celebrate and recognize excellence in Georgia's high school musical theater programs,' says the Shuler Hensley organization. Lynorris Evans says he will always remember and cherish his days at Tri-Cities High School.
Flashdance-The Musical is the stage adaptation of the 1983 hit film that defined a generation. The anticipated production took place at The Fox Theatre from February 5-10 as part of the Fifth Third Bank Broadway in Atlanta 2012/2013 season. What very few people know about this production is that it features one of our own talented local artists. Lynorris Evans who is part of the Ensemble cast is a graduate of Fordham University, and he was last seen on the 1st national tour of Memphis the Musical. But, his biggest role to date, was his starring role as a Tri-Cities student. Submitted by Tri-Cities High School As a follow-up to their award winning production of The Color Purple, Tri-Cities High School Visual and Performing Arts Magnet Drama Program will mount August Wilson’s critically acclaimed work Seven Guitars. Seven Guitars will run November 15 through November 18, 2012 in the Viola Turner Theater located at 2575 Harris Street in East Point, Georgia. Show times are at 7pm with a 2pm matinee on Saturday November 17th. Ticket prices are $12 for adults and $10 for senior citizen, $8 for students and groups of 10 or more adults.
