The Retrofit a Million (LRAM) clean-bulb exchange, in partnership with West Atlanta Watershed Alliance will feature a community "Retrofit Day of Action" as part of its Green Thanksgiving initiative on Saturday for residents living near the Outdoor Activity Center in West End Atlanta. The RDA is LRAM’s signature community engagement, advocacy, and leader activation program. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and college student volunteers will engage with residents around the OAC about exploring the health, economic and environmental benefits of energy conservation and will exchange up to 1,000 Compact Fluorescent Lightbulbs (CFL’s). This is a great iniative, will there be other days for some of the other SW Atlanta neighborhoods? I hope so and will keep an eye posted to the Cascade Patch for any upcoming repeats of the exchange. I would love to take advantage of such an exchange and information about energy usage. more ›
