Early Morning Shooting on Campbellton Road Leaves 1 Man Dead
Atlanta Police say that the shooting occurred around 3 a.m., Friday morning.
Atlanta Police investigators are continuing to look for a suspect in an early morning shooting at Checkers on Campbellton Road. According to reports by the AJC, a customer was waiting for his food order while sitting in his car before the gunshot was fired. An employee of the restaurant told Channel 2 that the suspected gunman then walked up to the counter to order, but turned around and did not order. Moments later employees in Checkers heard a single gun shot. At this point, the police department has not released a motive or the names of the victim nor suspect. APD is reviewing video footage, to see if a suspect can be identified. The man was rushed to Grady Hospital and was able to give a partial description of the shooter. The …
