SW Atlanta Community Disturbed that Fire Station Closed with No Warning
Fire Station 14 at Lee Street and Avon temporarily closed.
At the most recent NPU-T meeting the Fire Department representative seemed to "break the news" to local residents that Fire Station 14 was temporarily closed, and its truck would be operating out of Station 17 for the meantime. "As you may have heard in the news, Station 14 is temporarily closed," the representative said. He was referring to a WSB-TV report that came out a few days ago that featured 2 community members that said they were disturbed that there was no communication before the closure. According to the report, printed signs showed up on the door one day and said they were temporarily closed.
