Huffington Post Features 'Black Atlanta' in Ongoing Series

The city of Atlanta and 'Black Atlanta' are being highlighted in a month-long series by The Huffington Post.

Over the past 3 weeks Cascade Patch has already shared a few of the stories that have been featured in the month-long "Black Atlanta" series within the Huffington Post.  The most read, being Jazmine Guy's story of what she loved and why she loved Southwest Atlanta. In a press release from earlier this week, we found out that the month long, "spotlight features celebrity guides tours through Atlanta’s varied neighborhoods; a video series on Atlanta’s New Leaders, plus special reports on the business community. The project was produced by prominent national journalist Gil Robertson IV, who created the project to celebrate his adopted hometown." Jazmine Guy tells Huffington Post that Southwest Atlanta is a Different World and Why She Loves It

Jazmine Guy, one of SW Atlanta's native daughters, tells why she loves SW Atlanta.

The Huffington Posts', Black Voices, released a brief article about Southwest Atlanta on Sunday, in which Jazmine Guy shares why she loves her hometown neighborhood. Jazmine and her family are long time members of Friendship Baptist Church, and over the years she has and continues to support the arts and other causes in Atlanta. In the Black Voices article, which I hope you read, she speaks of her love for Atlanta and SW Atlanta in particular by saying, "It was a wonderful and special place to grow up." I can not agree with Ms. Jazmine Guy more!  I always say there is no place in the world like the SWATS (Southwest Atlanta), and like many of you, I travel a ton.  There is just something about the energy once you reach SW Atlanta that feels…
