The crime occurred at 14442 S. Gordon St. in Southwest Atlanta
Crime Stoppers has announced it is offering a $2000 reward for anyone who has information that leads to an arrest in the murder of a man on S. Gordon Street. Late Friday, the police released video of a person of interest. The person in the video is thought to be driving Mr. Porter's stolen SUV, and police would like to identify him and talk with him. After releasing the video, a news tip led police to the stolen car. The car was found at a Midtown apartment complex. According to Atlanta Police, Terry Porter was killed outside his home at 14442 S. Gordon Street on Monday morning. Mr. Porter's 2006 Range Rover was also stolen from the scene. The tag number was BIM9827. The AJC says that Terry Porter "owned several businesses around the …

The last 2 days have been a little crazy with crime activity in SW Atlanta.
There have been a number of strange criminal occurrences to happen in Southwest Atlanta the last two days, so much so that we created this crime blotter article to try to cover all of the instances instead of reporting on them one by one. Firstly, 2 bodies were found Monday in the area. According to reporting by 11Alive.com, "the first body was found shortly before 7 a.m. in the front yard of a home on South Gordon Street," near Cascade and Ralph David Abernathy. The body was found with bullet wounds, leaving police to suspect he was shot to death. UPDATE: 10/22/12 Man has still not been identified. He was in a motorized wheelchair, which police say could have caused to the fire. Police say there were no initial signs of foul play, but the medical examiner continues to look into the accident for causes. Saturday evening, the Atlanta Police reports that they received a call that a fire was ablaze in a vacant lot in the 2600 block of Metropolitan Parkway, next to the Family Dollar store in SW Atlanta. Here are 2 pretty strange stories that happened this week.
Here are two stories that developed this week that are very serious, but also have a weird element to them. 1) A car drove into a Doctor's office near Camp Creek on Wednesday. No major injuries were sustained, but police evacuated the building to make sure the structure was safe. Channel 5's chopper captured a picture of police attempting to remove the large SUV from inside the office, located in a building on Princeton Lakes Way. 2) Video has been released of the suspect in the shooting death of a man last Saturday. The released video shows 2 men walking down the street together. 1 man is the victim and the other is Atlanta Police's suspect. APD: Man, posing as a police officer fondled, groped two teens Sept. 15.
Atlanta police on Wednesday released the sketch of a man they say posed as an undercover police officer and fondled two teenaged girls last month in Lakewood Heights. The victims, 16 and 17, told police they were leaving the Lakewood Amphitheatre after a Sept. 15 concert and needed to use the restroom. Finding the restroom lines too long, they told investigators they left the amphitheatre grounds and crossed Pryor Road SW and headed for some woods behind a gas station in the 1900 block. They told officers others were doing the same and so they thought it was OK. As they began to relieve themselves, they said a man came up from behind them asking them what they were doing. A boy hid in the attic and called 911, as a violent home invasion occurred in his SW Atlanta home.
According to police reports, on Thursday morning a 12 year-old boy stopped an increasingly violent home invasion by hiding in the attic and calling 911 as it happened. Because of the young man's call, police arrived on the scene at the 700 block of Catherine St., while the robbery was still in progress. Three individuals ran from the house as police arrived at the location, 2 of the suspects got away while 1 was captured along with a female "getaway" driver. In addition, officers found "an AR-15 assault rifle containing 28 rounds and a Beretta 40 caliber hand gun containing 13 rounds." The initial police statement from Ofc. 2 men shot, 1 fatally wounded.
Tuesday afternoon, paramedics and Atlanta Police were called to the corner of MLK and Paschal Ave. (where the original Paschals Restaurant was located), for a double shooting. According to Officer Chafee, the shooting occurred a mile away on Paines Avenue and the victims stopped their vehicle for help on Martin Luther King Dr. Two men suffered from gunshot wounds and were taken to Grady Hospital for treatment. As of Tuesday night, one man has died and the other is in critical condition. Investigators spent hours Tuesday afternoon at the crime scenes piecing together what happened. A dead body was found in an abandoned warehouse over the weekend.
Residents in Southwest Atlanta learned this weekend of another body that was found in a warehouse at Sylvan Road and Avon Avenue. According to police the dead body was that of a white male in his fifties. Residents in the area are surprised that this is the second body in a matter of 2 weeks to be found in that same exact warehouse. According to CBS Atlanta, APD believes the body had been there a few days before it was discovered. The victim has not yet been identified, and no suspect descriptions have been released yet. We will bring you more when it is released.

The victim was shot multiple times.
According to John Chafee of the Atlanta Police Department, a man was found shot to death around 1 p.m. outside an abandoned apartment near the corner of Cooper Street and Eugenia Street in Southwest Atlanta. Witnesses told investigators that they heard several gunshots and saw a black male run from the scene. The Atlanta Police are continuing to investigate the crime and figure out what the motive of the shooting may have been. According to AJC, "the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office identified the dead man as Antwan Inzar, 24, of Orlando, Fla., on Sunday." Police need your help identifying the 3 men in the photos.
Update: Otis Ricks, has been arrested for this murder. He was captured within 24 hours of this incident at 632 Old Dixie Hwy at The Hotel Magnolia. More arrest are expected, according to Officer Kim Jones. According to APD reports, 3 men are wanted for questioning in the death of the business owner at O.T.'s Lounge and Soul Food Grill, within Simpson Plaza off of Joseph E. Boone. The shooting occurred on Thursday morning just after 2 a.m. at 2079 Joseph E. Boone. This crime was not committed directly within out Cascade Patch, but due to the seriousness we wanted to help the police distribute the suspect's photos.
