1 person has been arrested in connection to the Lee Street shooting and murder.
The Atlanta Police Department released survelliance camera footage of 3 suspects who were wanted in connection to the deadly shooting that occured on Janurary 16th at the tattoo parlor located at 806 Lee Street. The video was first released over the weekend, and on Monday the police department had 1 suspect in custody. On January 27, 2013 Det. K. Leonpacher was able to ascertain additional probable cause to secure two Fulton County Arrest Warrants for the charges of Armed Robbery, Murder, and Aggravated Assault on Clifford Harris (B/M, DOB 03/10/1990). Det. Leonpacher interviewed and served Harris with the outstanding arrest warrants. Harris was transported from PSHQ to Fulton County Jail without incident. Anton Johnson, was the owner …
The APD officer that was shot at the West End Mall has returned home.
Good news for the family of APD Officer Robinson who was shot in the face near West End Mall, arrived this weekend when Robinson left the hospital to finish his recovery at home with his family. Frank Nance is accused of shooting the officer in the face when the officer began investigating what he thought was a drug deal on the night of January 11th. A short foot pursuit occurred as Robinson approached a group of young men, and Nance is suspected of firing a weapon and striking Robinson. Some questions have been raised about the arrest of Nance at the scene of the crime and the extent of his cuts and bruises that can be seen in his mugshot. Wednesday evening turned tragic when a man was shot dead at a tattoo parlor on Lee Street.
The West End Mall area is dealing with another tragic shooting today, as news spreads of a deadly shooting that killed 1 person and left another wounded on Wednesday evening at Tattoo & Piercing. Anton Johnson, 39 was pronounced dead at the scene when EMS arrived. The name of the other victim that was transported to Grady has not been released. He is said to be in his 20's. According to police, "officers responded to the tattoo parlor at 806 Lee St regarding a person shot call. Upon arrival officers located two males who appeared to have been shot," said Officer Chafee.
