Hammonds House Museum will open its doors free of charge on Saturday, September 28, 2013, from 1-5 pm as part of Smithsonian magazine's ninth annual Museum Day Live! The nationwide event offers admission to visitors presenting a Museum Day Live! ticket at a participating museum or cultural institution. The current exhibition at Hammonds House Museum is A Different Eye: Sistagraphy Celebrates 20 Years of Photography. Close to 100 photographs from the African American female collective features People, Places, and Things In Between.
The Museum Day Live! ticket is available to download at Hammonds House Museum's page. Visitors who present the Museum Day Live! ticket will gain free entrance for two at participating venues for one day only.
