Spelman College Departments of Drama and Dance, World Languages and Literature, African Diaspora and the World and the Office of President present internationally renowned choreographer, activist, scholar, historian, educator, and Knight of the Legion of Honour LénaBlou and Trilogie Dance Company, from Guadeloupe and France, in residence at Spelman College on Oct. 7, 2013.
LénaBlou will present three master classes: Techni'Ka Dance Master Class: 12 p.m.-1:15 p.m., Read Hall, Studio 3 (this class is anchored in the traditional dance of Guadeloupe and yet, resolutely contemporary); Acting and Movement Master Class: 3 p.m.-4:15 p.m., Baldwin Burroughs Theatre, Fine Arts Building (LénaBlou brings her unique approach to enhancing performance skills); and African Diaspora and the World Writers' Circle Roundtable: 4:30 p.m.-5:45 p.m., Baldwin Burroughs Theatre, Fine Arts Building.
