Community Corner

West End Walking Tour

West End Guided History and Culture Walking Tours

The West End is the oldest community in Atlanta and its
first historic district. It contains historic homes, churches, two museums and
a performing arts center. It is also home to the first section of The Beltline
with its nature, walking and bike trails, four parks, a working farm and
several community gardens. Experience the West End and its people with a local
guide as you get some great exercise. Sites include Saint Anthony’s church, The
Shrine of the Black Madonna Cultural Center and  Bookstore, The Wren’s Nest, Patchwork City
Farms and the Hammonds House Museum. The tour is July 13th @ 9am-12pm.
It begins at the West End MARTA station north side. The tour is free and open
to the public. There is a twenty person limit so please RSVP to
Robert.thompson168@gmail.com
