Dear Friends,
Eight years ago, I completed eighth grade at KIPP Gaston College Prep. This past June, I graduated from Morehouse College with a degree in computer science. Two months from now, I’ll be heading off to Ohio State to pursue my PhD.
I attribute my success at Morehouse to the numerous skills I learned about being an excellent student at KIPP. At my commencement, President Obama spoke about how minorities are needed in every profession. It made me reflect on how organizations like KIPP are doing their part to inspire generations of underserved students to find their passion and make their footprint on the world.
Thank you so much for supporting KIPP. I urge you to continue your commitment to ensure that the next 10,000 KIPPsters to reach college – including my three younger sisters – can learn everything they need to make a positive impact on their community and the world.
