The South Fulton Business Coalition has just achieved its one year anniversary milestone and has decided to celebrate it during a month long list of events in co-celebration with National Entrepreneurs Month.
"Can you believe it has been a full year since we launched our organization? It has been an exciting ride and we are taking time out to celebrate it and you are invited," reads the event announcement.
The following events are said to provide you with a chance to get involved, get engaged, network, connect and more with members of your own communities.
The first event, which is a West Cascade Community Clean up will take place on Saturday, November 9th from 8:30 am to 1pm. Info about each event in November is below:

So Clean, So Green, So Fresh Community Cleanup: West Cascade Edition
Come join the SFBC as we tackle the medians and pocket park along the Cascade Corridor. We are picking up litter, removing illegal signage, trimming hedges/weeds/limbs and more along the area from Danforth Road to the Atlanta City Limits. Put on some work clothes and bring a pair of gloves. We will meet at the Another Way Out office located at 1180 Utoy Springs Road Atlanta (behind the Cascade Shell Station) at 8:30am to grab supplies and assignments. Bring a friend, colleague and neighbor. Lets get Cascade clean! We are seeking out donations and supplies, contact us for more information. Red Oak Business Meeting
We are inviting officials from Fulton County out to discuss Quality of Life issues in the Red Oak community. Invited guests include county management, code enforcement and county police. As we receive confirmations, their names will be announced. Also, we will discuss campaigns to promote the corridor for the Christmas shopping season and look at ways to get the community clean. The meeting takes place at the A Taste of the Island restaurant. The restaurant is located at 3435 Roosevelt Highway, College Park 30349 (Red Oak Village Shopping Center near Wayfield). All attendees are required to purchase lunch (lunch specials start at $5.75) to show our appreciation of the restaurant hosting us.

Mega Networking Event Vol. 2: East Point Edition
Join us at Oz Pizza!! Back in July, we were in Downtown Fairburn, now we are headed to East Point! This is one of our fundraising initiatives for the SFBC. Bring your business cards and marketing materials as we are networking in Downtown East Point. Admission is free and bring your colleagues. You never know what all will happen at our networking events. Be prepared to connect and make business deals. Come hungry and ready to eat. Oz Pizza is giving us 20 percent of the total proceeds from the event to come back to our organization. Make sure you tell the cashier you are with the SFBC. 2014 South Fulton Legislative Preview
The SFBC is inviting members of the Fulton County Delegation to present to us their ideas and plans for the 2014 Georgia General Assembly. Join us at Westlake High School in the Media Center as we have a spirited discussion about the political future of South Fulton. Items of discussion include City of South Fulton, Fulton County CID Act, Homestead Exemption, Campbell/Milton County, MARTA Board and more. Westlake High is located at 2400 Union Road in Atlanta (Unincorporated South Fulton). Confirmed attendees will be announced in a future e-mail.

We have allocated this day as a backup/finish up date for West Cascade's cleanup. If West Cascade is completed, we will tackle Washington Road from 285 to Roosevelt Highway. More details to come.

Union City Business Meeting LAUNCH
The SFBC is launching the inaugural meeting our Union City committee. We are inviting Union City officials including the Mayor Elect, Councilmembers, Economic Development, Police and Code Enforcement. Business owners and entrepreneurs from Roosevelt Highway, Jonesboro Road, Shannon Parkway, South Fulton Parkway and Flat Shoals corridors are invited to share their concerns, thoughts and visions for the future of Union City. This will be a meeting to start dialogue on solutions and remedies for the business community of the area. The meeting takes place at the Southern Buffet and Grill located at 4750 Jonesboro Road (across from Wal-Mart/Quik-Trip). All meeting attendees must purchase a lunch buffet for admittance into the meeting.
